Four things make the room
- Red light
One colour for the whole room. Under red, everyone looks the same and nobody looks better than anyone else.
- Shadows not faces
The light faces the wall, not the crowd. You are a shape on the floor, and that is the point: nobody is watching you.
- No phones up
Phones stay in pockets. Nobody is photographed, filmed or shared without saying yes.
- One kick
Dark, driving electronic music, somewhere between 128 and 136 beats a minute. The whole room moves on the same beat.
02 · How a night moves
From the first shadow to the last
- Doors
The wall glows low. The first shadows find a place, the bass is warm and slow.
- Warm-up
Deep and patient. The room fills in, the shapes start to move together.
- The peak
The kick takes over. Strobes on the beat, beams over the crowd, one body.
- Closing
The red softens. The last record, the last shadows, a promise to come back.
